Ernst Haeckel, 1834-1919, was a German naturalist, biologist and artist. After earning two doctors degrees, Haeckel spent the next 47 years as Professor of Comparative Anatomy at the University of Jenna, Germany. Haeckel's bizarre evolutionist and Monist beliefs were precursors of (a) Nazism, (b) the Eugenics movement, (c) Jungian psychology and (d) the religion of modern evolution. God blessed Haeckel with prodigious intellect, incredible artistic talent and extensive education. Haeckel squandered these blessings, living his entire life in rebellion against God and truth.
Sadly, there is no evidence that Haeckel ever trusted Jesus Christ as his Savior and got saved. His rejection of the Jewish Messiah and his beliefs about evolution led to the Nazi Holocaust in which more than six million Jews perished.
