Statement Of Faith

Our statement of faith is Bible believing, Christian, conservative and evangelical.

Our Statement of Faith is NOT Liberal or Progressive or Universalist.

What we believe about the Bible.

What we affirm about scripture.

What we believe about the Godhead or Trinity.

  • The Deity Of Christ. We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, that He is “God with us,” Matthew 1:23, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His supernatural miracles, in His Penal Substitutionary death, in which Jesus took upon Himself the wrath of God against our sins and in that death, by shedding His precious blood to pay for our sins, appeased the wrath of God and made salvation possible for all who believe.
  • Jesus’ Bodily Resurrection. We believe Jesus resurrected physically, bodily, appeared to His disciples and many followers and ascended bodily into heaven.
  • Salvation. We believe God made salvation possible, through the blood atonement, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, for everyone who repents, changes their mind about their need of a Savior and believes on Jesus Christ as Savior, in this life.
  • Human Responsibility. We believe repentance, faith, love and obedience are fitting responses to God's initiatives of grace toward us.
  • Salvation Is Available To All. We believe that God desires everyone to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth, 2 Peter 3:9. The substitutionary death of Jesus was not for a small group called the elect. Instead, as scripture clearly says, the death of Jesus was also for false prophets, false teachers and heretics even though they deny the Lord that bought them, 2 Peter 2:1.

    Our Statement of Faith
    is biblical and Christian

  • God's gift of salvation must be received in this life. The Bible never teaches that people can get saved in hell or the lake of fire or that anyone can get out of hell or the lake of fire.
  • God’s salvation is applied when an individual repents of sin and receives God’s gift of righteousness, Romans 5:17, John 1:11-12, through Jesus Christ our Lord, Romans 6:23, in this life, 2 Corinthians 6:2, Hebrews 9:27.
  • Salvation Means Regeneration. We believe that we are lost and sinful people, who need to repent (change our mind about our sins) and receive the gift of God, which is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Regeneration by the Holy Spirit (and not human good works) is absolutely essential for our salvation.
  • The Holy Spirit. We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling Christians are enabled by God's amazing grace, to walk in the Spirit, Galatians 5:16, and live godly lives which please our Savior.
  • We are not charismatic or Pentecostal and do not elevate first century sign gifts to an unnatural place of prominence. We do not promote emotionalism over sound doctrine or feelings over faith.
  • In all things, the cry of our heart is: What saith the scripture? "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them." Isaiah 8:20

The Resurrection. We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the unsaved.

Billions of saved and born again believers in our Lord Jesus Christ, who accepted God's gracious offer of salvation full and free in Jesus Christ, will be resurrected to eternal life with Jesus in heaven.

Billions of the unsaved who, in this life, refused God's gracious offer of salvation full and free in Jesus Christ, await resurrection to damnation and eternity in the lake of fire with the devil and his fallen angels, Revelation 20:13-15.

  • The Unity Of All Believers. We believe in the spiritual unity of all believers in our Lord Jesus Christ. This unity should (but doesn't always) manifest itself in loving each other, as Christ loved us, extending grace and caring and encouragement and help to those in need.

  • This Statement Of Faith is not exhaustive.

We believe that God gives individual Christians liberty of conscience and therefore, we may disagree with each other on some things and still enjoy loving fellowship.

Our Statement Of Faith is a general guide so that interested readers will know the basics of what we believe as Christians.
