Gay Christians are in a peculiar and sometimes difficult situation. We are not fully accepted by the Christian community and we are not fully accepted by the gay community.

The Christian community asks us,

“How can you self-identify with people who are an abomination?”

The Gay Community asks us,

“How can you maintain your faith when so many Christians hate you?”

Guidelines For Your Coming Out Story

  1. Please make sure your story is about Coming Out.

  2. Please tell us how/when you came to trust Jesus Christ as your Savior.

  3. Please include something about reconciling being both gay and Christian if you've been able to reconcile those dual realities.

  4. Please remember that our purpose is to spiritually uplift and encourage other GLBT people.

  5. Please keep your story as positive as possible. Many Coming Out stories contain negative elements. Please be sensitive so that what you write does not come off as attacking others.

  6. I cannot publish stories which read like negative and accusatory attacks on others.
