Not Afraid

"That I may know Him, and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being made conformable unto His death" -Philippians 3:10

As I think of life,
My pain will always grow.
The horror and frustration is nothing
To peaceful, heavenly bliss.

Should I die?
That, I will always ask.
Death is peaceful.
Death is perfect.
Life is trouble
Life is pain.

Yet the ones I love
Are still in mind.
Would they die
If I did?
I would die if they did...

But who should be afraid
Of The Lord?
The pain will end
And I will rest.
All life will be heavenly.

I am not afraid to die.




Editor's Note: All of us experience difficulty and discouragement. God gives us joy, peace and a reason to live for Him. In Christ we have ALREADY died to our old life of sin. In Christ we have eternal hope not only for the life to come but especially for this life now.
